With his contract due to expire at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, right-back Corchia has been linked with French giants Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla and Napoli, and now Arsenal have emerged as potential suitors.

The former France Under-21 captain – who has called Lille home since 2014 – is flattered and excited about a move abroad, having never played outside of Ligue 1, although the 26-year-old insists nothing has been decided as Marcelo Bielsa prepares to take over at Stade Pierre-Mauroy next season.

The reverse came days after Mourinho outlined the need for a new forward to compete with and complement Harry Kane.

Sorloth, the on-loan Trabzonspor man, is an option, according to the Turkish club s president Ahmet Agaoglu.

Celtic win Europa League appeal

UEFA have confirmed that Celtic have been reinstated to the Europa League in place of Sion, pending an appeal by the Swiss club.

Sion have been charged with fielding ineligible players against the Scottish side during their two-legged play-off, which they won 3-1 on aggregate.

QPR 2 Manchester City 2: Aguero rescues draw for sloppy City

Sergio Aguero s brace salvaged a 2-2 draw for Manchester City at QPR as the champions lost further ground in their title defence.

Aguero famously scored an injury-time winner against Rangers to seal the 2011-12 Premier League title for City, but similar celebrations appear increasingly unlikely this time around as Manuel Pellegrini s team lie eight points behind leaders Chelsea after 11 games.

Charlie Austin had time to net two disallowed strikes before his sixth goal of the season gave QPR a 21st-minute lead, with City threatening to crumble under a ferocious early onslaught.

The visitors were indebted to a moment of brilliance from Aguero, who levelled the contest after 32 minutes, but a Martin Demichelis own goal meant a repeat of the scoreline City suffered a…

Struggling Bulgaria sack Penev

Bulgaria have sacked head coach Luboslav Penev after a poor start to their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Bulgaria have taken just four points from their four Group H fixtures so far, but their 1-1 home draw with Malta last Sunday saw the gap to third-placed Norway widen to five points.

And that proved to be the final straw for the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), who opted to dispense of Penev s services on Thursday.

In a statement, BFU president Borislav Mihaylov said: I m sorry I have to part with Luboslav.

I m angry because he did many good things at the head of the national team, but now there are no results and my colleagues in the Executive Committee shared the view that it cannot continue.

Penev is not the only culprit, a lot of playe…
